The 16-year-old, who lives at Akute, Ogun State, is being gone after for connivance and taking.
The Prosecutor, ASP Ezekiel Ayorinde, told the court that the respondent submitted the offenses on December 2, at Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos.
He said the respondent and three others, yet to be secured, contrived to take the telephones all esteemed at N145,000.
As per Ayorinde, the telephones had a place with the complainant, Mr. Joseph Ologun.
"The respondent entered the congregation on the appearance of coming to love God.
"He took the telephones and was headed out when the complainant found that his telephones had been taken.
"The complainant raised an alert, the respondent and his companions ran away, church individuals gave them a pursuit however just the litigant was captured.
"His associates got away with the telephones," the investigator said.
The supposed offenses contradict Sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Section 287 recommends three years' prison term for taking while Section 411 accommodates two years' detainment for connivance.
Following his not blameworthy supplication, Magistrate B.O. Osunsanmi discharged the youngster on bail of N400,000 with one surety in like entirety.
Osunsanmi said the surety ought to be profitably utilized and show proof of two years' expense installment to the Lagos State Government.
She dismissed the case until Dec. 27 for further hearing.
