The Director-General of SEMA, Mr. Princewill Ayim, unveiled this in a talk with writers in Calabar, the state capital.
Ayim said the episode happened among July and September, adding that measures were taken to give help to the people in question.

He stated: "Between July to September, a flood crushed 4,370 houses and dislodged more than 51,000 individuals in 212 networks in Cross River. A portion of the exploited people manufactured their homes along the water channel thus they couldn't get away from the flooding.
