Oladele was said to have been captured and beaten by officers in their offer to assist a businessperson with recovering an obligation from the perished.
Following his demise, his widow, Esther Oladele, and their three kids documented the key rights requirement suit checked FHC/WR/CS/93/2017 against the Nigerian Army, one Lt. Col. T. A. Yakubu and Sergeant Hassan.
The suit was established in the interest of the offended parties by their attorney, Mr. Kunle Edun, who arraigned the case for them for nothing out of pocket.
Equity Emeka Nwite in the judgment conveyed on December 10, 2019, announced that the four "offended parties' entitlement to life and in this way great and sensible solace of life have been damaged by the demonstrations of the
litigants by the unlawful murdering of Otunba Ajayi Oladele being that the expired was the parent of the second, third, and fourth offended parties and spouse to the first offended party and furthermore the provider of the family."
In the duplicate of the judgment seen by Punch journalist on Wednesday, the judge made a request, "granting the total of N50,000,000 as general and model harms mutually and severally against the litigants for the offended parties
because of the unlawful/illegitimate passing of Otunba Ajayi Oladele and for loss of associate, protective love/care, solace and disturbance of the family life of the offended parties."
The judge additionally granted N100,000 against the litigants and for the offended parties as the cost of arraigning the case.
