NURTW, RTEAN Activities Suspended In Lagos

Following the adversary conflict between two gatherings that prompted the slaughtering of two individuals in Coker-Aguda, Surulere region of Lagos State, the Chairman of Coker-Aguda Local Council Development Area, Hon. Omobolanle Akinyemi Obe has declared the prompt suspension of the exercises of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Road Transport Employee Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) in the gathering zone until further notice.
 

The suspension, as indicated by the Council chief, got important to guarantee the security of lives and properties of the harmony cherishing individuals of Coker-Aguda LCDA which was undermined by the conflict between rival associations in the territory on Sunday fifteenth December 2019, and the backlash on Monday sixteenth December 2019 which prompted the passing of two and capture of numerous others.
