Nigerians Don't Value Democracy - Sen. Abdullahi

Senator Sabi Abdullahi, the Niger state administrator behind the questionable detest discourse bill has expressed that redesign of the National Assembly complex which was worked in 1999 is long past due.

Abdullahi, responding to the clamor from Nigerians said that the N37bn venture isn't on the high side as the NASS complex was greater inside than what it resembles outwardly.

The representative focused on that the redesign of the structure has been deferred for a long time, including that Nigerians don't esteem the majority rules system in the nation.

He stated: "When we went ahead load up in this specific republic in 1999, the structures and each other thing that was set up came in with the change and since that time till now, it is on record that very little has been done to redesign,

revamp and to persistently increase the value of that organization even as the lawmaking body keeps on developing regarding what it requires to do its law-based capacity.

"Rehabilitating that specific complex is long past due in light of the fact that this is 20 years now and there was no significant restoration done to the structure and it has been serving Nigeria from that period up till now.

"What individuals see from the outside isn't what that building is separated from everyone else; you have to go inside to comprehend what that building is before you can think perhaps what is being done is on the high side.

"Nigerians don't esteem the majority rule process we have. On the off chance that they do, they won't state what they are stating."
