CUPP said the previous Abia State Governor and Senator speaking to Abia North's conviction over claimed N7.65 billion has made him ineligible to keep on working as the Senate Chief Whip.
In an announcement marked by its representative, Ikenga Ugochinyere, CUPP kept up that it was legitimate for Kalu to renounce his office in the Senate while seeking after the intrigue of his conviction in a higher court.
CUPP said Kalu's proceeded with remain as Senate Chief Whip was an "experiment for the All Progressives Congress' enemy of debasement battle."
The announcement labeled: "Orji Kalu's conviction and kept on remaining in office as Senate's chief official/Chief Whip" peruses: "President Muhanmadu Buhari-drove All Progressives Congress government needed Senator Bukola Saraki and Justice Walter Onnogen to leave their places of Senate President and Chief Justice of Nigeria separately in any event, when there was no conviction.
