INEC Staffs Bag 42 Years For Accepting N362million Bribe From Diezani

A high court sitting in Yola, directed by Justice Nathan Musa on Thursday imprisoned two Independent National Electoral Commission staff for a long time for gathering rewards.
 

Equity Musa additionally solicited the Inspector General from Police, Mohammed Adamu, and the International Police to create previous Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Allison-Madueke, to confront indictment over the N362 million she sent to the two sentenced INEC staff so as to bargain the 2015 presidential political race in Adamawa State. 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had brought the body of evidence against Ibrahim Mohammed Umar, Sahabo Iya Hamman, both staff of INEC just as the previous Minister of Petroleum for planning to cheat the government with the aim to bargain the 2015 general races. 

Musa said the court conveyed the decision after due ingenuity set up an intrigue between the people, all things considered, he indicted and condemned the two INEC staff to seven years each on the three counts brought as a detriment to them by the EFCC. 

The judge said he was giving a tolerant sentence since the denounced were first-term wrongdoers including that the sentence would run simultaneously. 

"The offense has a compulsory arrangement. I'm obliged by the law. They will be condemned to seven years' detainment without the choice of fine. 

" However in perspective on supplication to temper equity with benevolence, I will enable the sentence to run simultaneously," he said.
