Ahmadu, who is one of two suspects captured out of a five-part group, was marched by the police in Gombe on Thursday.
He said the person in question, Gidado Jungudo, was discharged from imprisonment with the understanding that he would proceed to the hotspot for the payoff however rather, he went to the police for help.
