It was found out that the blast, which happened around 12.40pm on Tuesday, influenced around 10 shops on the Iwhrekpokpo Road in Ughelli.
The blast, it was assembled, was from a gas chamber at a nearby corner store in the region.
A source who talked with Punch Metro stated, "The episode happened from a spilling chamber at a gas top off shop around 12.40pm on Tuesday.
"It happened when the retailer was topping off a chamber near a spot, where a lady was broiling prepared beans, famously known as Akara.
"The chamber, which was evidently releasing, detonated because of the stripped fire from the Akara merchant.
"Because of the episode, 10 shops were bulldozed by the fire, while six people, including passers-by, endured consumes because of the inferno."
When reached, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adeleke Adeyinka, affirmed the episode.
"There was a blast, yet no one kicked the bucket. Six or seven shops were crushed," Adeyinka expressed.
