FIRS: How Fowler Wrote SGF To Seek Re-Appointment (Letter)

Previous Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Babatunde Fowler, kept in touch with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha, looking for a second term before he was supplanted on Monday by President Muhammadu Buhari. 


The Presidency on Monday supplanted Fowler with an assessment master, Muhammad M. Nami. 

The declaration was contained in an announcement by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu. 

The Eagle Online reports that Fowler wrote to Mustapha on the need to recharge his residency. 

The letter, dated December 9, 2019, was titled: "Re: Notification of Expiration of Tenure as Executive Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service." 

In the letter, Fowler expressed: "I write to tell the Secretary to the Government of the Federation that my first residency as the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) end today ninth of December 2019. 

"In perspective on the abovementioned, I wish to introduce myself for reappointment for a subsequent term. This is predictable with the arrangements of the FIRS Establishment Act 2007 and would allow me the chance to combine and expand on the accomplishments we have recorded in the previous 4 years. 

"It would be ideal if you find connected the features of my accomplishments during my first residency in office. 

"I might want to put on record my appreciation to Mr. President for the chance to serve the Nation. I am likewise grateful for your help over the span of the release of my obligations. 

"Kindly acknowledge, as usual, the affirmation of my most noteworthy respects."
