Trouble As Court Orders EFCC, DSS, Police To Arrest Diezani Within 72 Hours

The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, in Apo, Abuja, on Tuesday requested the capture of the prompt past Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, who is right now under scrutiny for debasement claims in the United Kingdom. 


EFCC's acting representative, Mr. Tony Orilade, said this in an announcement on Tuesday.

"The Inspector General of Police, the Chairman of the EFCC, the Attorney General, the Department of State Services, are thusly requested for the sake of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria to catch and capture the main respondent and create her under the watchful eye of this court for further mandates inside 72 hours", the judge requested. 

A similar judge had on Monday, on the demand by the EFCC, allowed leave allowing the counter unite office to charge her and one of her partners, Olajide Omokore, on five checks of debasement claims. 

Both the request of capture and the charges recorded under the steady gaze of the court are a piece of the moves to have the previous clergyman removed to Nigeria from the UK. 

EFCC's Acting Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, had as of late said the commission was wanting to remove the ex-clergyman to Nigeria following the commission's disappointment with ýthe treatment of the case by the UK government. 

Prior petitioning God for Alison-Maduekwe's capture on Tuesday, EFCC's legal counselor, Msuur Denga, said the request of capture was to empower the commission to catch and charge her for the supposed money related violations in Nigeria. 

The EFCC said it had researched the previous pastor alongside Omokore, a previous Chairman, Atlantic Energy Drilling Company, following an appeal to dated October 2, 2013, from the Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, verging on tax evasion and authority defilement. 

EFCC included an announcement, "Examinations concerning the request of uncovered that Madueke as directing priest of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, was found to have occupied with unlawful and great false dealings in oil exchanges, which she went into for the Federal Government. 

"Madueke and Omokore, are additionally claimed to have acknowledged and given blessings in properties situated at Penthouse 22, Block B, Admiralty Estate, Ikoyi, and Penthouse 21, Building 5, Block C, Banana Island, Lagos. They are to be summoned on February 25, 2019 on a five-mean the offenses, which are in opposition to Sections 26(1) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Act, 2000." 

The EFCC had said Alison-Madueke left the nation for the United Kingdom while examinations concerning the charges against her were progressing. 

It said the previous priest had since declined to respect EFCC's welcome to come back to the nation to be indicted.
