As Fake Police AIG Is Caught Red-handed With 11 ATM Cards, 10 Cheque Books

The Police in Abuja have captured a 59-year-elderly person acting like a resigned Assistant Inspector-General of Police at a bank in Kubwa, a satellite town in the Federal Capital Territory, Punch Metro reports. 


Olawale Olatunji was purportedly found possessing 11 ATM cards and 10 check books of various banks which he guaranteed had a place with him. 

Marching the suspect in Abuja on Wednesday, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma, expressed that Olatunji had acted like an AIG to cheat clueless individuals from people in general by promising to help them in getting contracts at the Police Airwing office. 

He stated, "On December 10, 2018, Police agents from the Command captured Olatunji who has been marching himself as a resigned AIG. 

"The suspect had under a similar affection duped clueless individuals from general society by offering to enable them to anchor contracts at the Police Air Wing. 

"Over the span of the examination, counterfeit Police Air Wing receipts, counterfeit contract records, 11 ATM cards, 10 checkbooks and letter headed papers of various organizations were recuperated from him as shows." 

Olatunji conceded responsibility for displays including the phony Police Air Wing receipts, yet he denied swindling individuals. 

"A minister acquainted me with somebody as a resigned AIG, yet I didn't swindle anybody. The ATM cards and checkbooks were for my financial balances which were opened for my business with various organizations," he asserted. 

The suspect requested that the police charge him to court, taking note of that he was not a criminal. 

The Police likewise marched one Ola Olusoji and Kola Akintola who supposedly confiscated one Tony Wanah of his Toyota Corolla vehicle subsequent to cutting him with a couple of scissors. 

Wanah was later confirmed dead by specialists at Kubwa General Hospital where he was scrambled for medicinal consideration.
