Former Defence Chief, Alex Badeh Murdered Along Abuja-Keffi Expressway

A previous Chief of Defense Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (retd.), has been executed. 


It was assembled that the resigned military officer was slaughtered on the Abuja-Keffi Expressway on his way over from his homestead. 

He was said to have been shot alongside his driver on Tuesday. 

As indicated by TVC news, two of his associates were additionally seized by the shooters after he was slaughtered. 

Until his passing, he was standing preliminary for supposed redirection of assets implied for arms buy. 

The Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, affirmed the occurrence in an announcement. 

"It is with an overwhelming heart that I remorsefully declare the appalling death of a previous Chief of Defense Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (retd.), who kicked the bucket today, December 18, from discharge wounds supported when his vehicle was assaulted while coming back from his homestead along the Abuja-Keffi Road. 

"For the benefit of officers, pilots and airwomen of the Nigerian Air Force, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, sympathizes with the group of the late previous Chief of Defense Staff over this hopeless misfortune. 

"We implore that the Almighty God give his spirit endless rest," the announcement read. 

The late Badeh, who was 61 years, was authorized into the Nigerian Air Force in 1979. 

He was conceived in Vimtim, in the Mubi Local Government Area of Adamawa State. 

He went to the Vimtim Primary School. Vimtim and proceeded to acquire his auxiliary school endorsement from the Villanova Secondary School in 1976 preceding continuing to the Nigerian Defense Academy. 

Badeh was conceded into the Nigerian Defense Academy as an individual from the 21 Regular Course on January 3, 1977, and was charged as Pilot Officer on July 3, 1979. 

The resigned military officer was advanced Air Vice Marshal on January 3, 2008. 

He was delegated Chief of Air Staff by President Goodluck Jonathan in October 2012 and was named Chief of Defense Staff in April 2014. 

Badeh was being attempted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for purportedly occupying billions of naira implied for weapons, a charge he denied until his passing.
