Badeh was killed on Tuesday by unidentified shooters along Abuja-Keffi street while coming back from his ranch.
Nonetheless, the Command unveiled that endeavors were on to capture those behind the "obnoxious demonstration."
An announcement issued by the Command peruses: "On the December 18, 2018 at about 18:35hrs, the previous Chief of Defense Staff(rtd) while coming back from his homestead situated in Panda Development Area of Karu LGA was assaulted by shooters at Tudu-Uku along Gitata-Keffi street.
"He was in the organization of his companion and driver when the obscure shooters trapped and started shooting at his moving vehicle.
The previous Chief of Defense Staff endured shot wounds, which came about to his demise while his driver was harmed and the said companion snatched.
"The carcass of the late Air Chief Marshal and the harmed driver has been taken to NAF Hospital in Abuja.
"Following the mandate of the IGP Ibrahim K.Idris, the Commissioner of Police in Nassarawa State, CP Yahaya Bello and some senior military faculty have visited the scene close by the IGP's Intelligence Response Team, IRT, and Special Tactical Squad, STS, who are to do a discrete examination concerning the case.
"In the interim, the police Command, Nigerian Army and Air Force faculty driven by Deputy Commissioner of police are in the zone quickly the occurrence happened with a view to protect the kidnapped individual and capture the culprits of the devious demonstration."
