Mr. Babatunde Akinbiyi, the Public Relations Officer, Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps affirmed the episode to the News Agency of Nigeria in Abeokuta.
Akinbiyi said the mishap was caused by a tire that burst while the vehicle was in the movement which brought about the vehicle falling on its side before bursting into flames.
"The solitary mishap happened around 2:50pm and it included a white Mazda transport with enrollment number EKY 616 XW.
"The back feels sick of the vehicle burst while in movement, and it fell on its side and burst into flames.
"We took in the transport was originating from Iwo Road Ibadan, heading towards Lagos when the mishap happened at Onigari hub of the Expressway.
"15 individuals were engaged with the mishap, 9 were harmed while a lady and her tyke were sung to death in the mishap," he said.
The TRACE representative clarified that the two dead unfortunate casualties were taken to Ade-Oyo Hospital Morgue, Ibadan, while the harmed were taken to Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu.
