Mr. J. A. Adegun, Chief Magistrate of an Ikeja Chief Magistrates' Court requested the couple to be remanded until Feb. 3, pending the guidance of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), NAN reports.
The Prosecutor, ASP Clifford Ogu, told the court that Akinwole and Odubiyi who dwell at Isuti Road, Igando, submitted the offense on Dec.17 at Isolo zone, Lagos.
The investigator affirmed that the couple burglarized a person on foot, Mrs. Edith Tonye of her Samsung 736 cell phone esteemed N106,000.
He said that both were standing preliminary on a two-check charge of scheme and theft.
The investigator said that the offenses repudiated Sections 297 and 299 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
He said the Special Anti Robbery Squad in Igando was educated regarding the exercises of Akinwole and Odubiyi, which made the police capture them.
