Tension In Southeast As Police, IPOB, Engage In Show Of Force

As per a report by Vanguard, substantial pressure is developing in the South East as the Abia State Police direction has captured 51 associated individuals with Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who held a parade on a few boulevards of Umuahia. 


The suspects were 10 females and 41 guys, who police said masked as Jewish admirers to confound the general population of the state. 

The direction asserted they were out to cause issue and rupture the harmony in the state. However, in a quick response, the speculates kept up that they are Jewish followers performing one of their religious commitment of end of year parade and was not out to bring about any inconvenience. 

The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, censured the capture, saying what the general population did was in similarity with the Jewish religion. 

"They are Jewish devoted in solidarity with the Biafran cause. What they did was correct. We bolster them. Indeed, even alternate religious bodies, for example, Catholic and Anglican have their very own periods when they hold their very own parade functions. 

"They played out their religious commitment and they have sensitivity for Biafra. We were not included but rather we bolster what they did," Comrade Uchenna Madu, pioneer of MASSOB said in a phone meeting. 

In the interim, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has condemned what they called "the capture and proceeded with a clampdown on Jewish admirers who were doing tranquil rally and sensitization for Biafra submission." 

IPOB's Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, said in an announcement: "IPOB authority won't neglect to advise Jewish people group everywhere throughout the world, especially Jewish admirers in Israel and different parts of the world over the capture of Jewish church individuals who were calmly dissenting for Biafra opportunity in Umuahia today (yesterday). 

"We are cautioning Abia State Police Commissioner to discharge the 54 guiltless nationals of Biafra who were doing tranquil evangelism in Umuahia for Biafra opportunity. 

"We point the finger at Okezie Ikpeazu and Abia Police Commissioner for the harm this activity may cause in Abia state in the event that they neglect to discharge these honest Jewish admirers practicing their rights."
