Stella Oduah Speaks As Senate Passes South-East Development Commission Bill

A senator, Stella Oduah, says Wednesday entry of the South-East Development Commission Bill by the Senate is equity for Igbo individuals. 


Ms Oduah, who is one of the patrons of the bill, disclosed to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Thursday that the bill's section was a stage forward in meeting the desires and yearnings of South-East individuals. 

The Bill was passed three years after it was presented in the Senate. It passed first perusing on June 22, 2016, and second perusing on June 7, 2017. 

It was supported by Ms Oduah (PDP, Anambra North) and Samuel Anyanwu (PDP, Imo East). 

Ms Oduah clarified that the bill was a reaction to the unfairness and minimization the general population were whining of throughout the years.
