The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, affirmed the capture in a meeting with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Kano.
Haruna said the police got a report on Friday that Lawal of Rurum town in Rano Local Government Area of the state, had pushed her co-spouse and infant into a well.
"The presume had a misconception with the unfortunate casualty in the process they began battling in the house. The suspect drove her adversary alongside her 18-month-old child, Mustafa Gambo, whom she was backing into an all-around arranged in their home.''
He said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Habu Sani-Ahmadu, requested the finding and capture of the escaping suspect inside 24 hours.
"Activity Puff-Adder, took care of business and captured the suspect on Saturday at about 1:17 a.m.
"The exploited people were expelled from the well and were raced to Rano Hospital where Sani was affirmed dead, while her child is alive and has been released from the medical clinic. The suspect admitted to the wrongdoing," the PPRO said.
The PPRO said that the case had been moved to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for examination.
"When the examination is finished the suspect would be charged to court," Haruna said.
