The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were leaving London to partake in a function at Windsor Castle on Monday when the occurrence happened in Richmond, West London.
The person in question, who is said to be fundamentally sick in medical clinic, has been named by neighbors as Irene Mayor.
An announcement issued by Buckingham Palace in the interest of the Cambridges stated: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were profoundly concerned and disheartened to catch wind of the mishap on Monday evening.
"Their Royal Highnesses have sent their absolute best respects to Irene and her family and will keep in contact all through each phase of her recuperation."
The Palace's representative affirmed the Royals have sent roses and a transcribed note to Mrs Mayor and plan to visit her in emergency clinic.
The Metropolitan Police affirmed the mishap occurred at around 12:50pm Monday.
An announcement read: "The lady, accepted to be in her 80s, has been taken to clinic for treatment where she remains.
"Her closest relative have been educated.
"The Met's Directorate of Professional Standards and the Independent Office for Police Conduct have been educated."
