82-Year-Old Man Compensated With $288,000 After 46 Years For Being Wrongfully Convicted

82-year-old Vietnamese man Tran Van Them was charged, indicted and condemned to death in 1973 and 1974. He was just pronounced honest in 2017. 


Them, an inhabitant of Yen Phong District in Bac Ninh Province, one hour upper east of Hanoi, got the pay for the years he spent in prison 

He and his family initially requested VND15 billion in remuneration for his difficulty, which included being condemned to death twice.
