A man who professed to be a staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission was captured by party supporters at Ayedaade Local Government territory of Osun Stare for tearing an INEC result sheets accepted to be under dispute.
The man, Salawu Mutiu Kolawole, with an INEC recognizable proof card, said a predominant officer, Mrs Aderinoye, called him and guided him to continue to St Peter's in Ayedaade to tear the outcome sheets.
A Peoples Democratic Party specialist had battled that 1000 votes were deducted from the gathering result in the zone prior amid grouping of result at the INEC office in Osogbo.
Kolawole stated, "An Electoral Officer, Mrs Aderinoye, in Ayedaade committee, called me and requesting that I go to the gathering and tear the outcome sheet.
"Before I could ask her for what good reason I needed to go and do it, she hung up. I moved toward another EO, Mr Oladunjoye and revealed to him what my manager said. I went there to tear it yet while doing it, two gathering operators met me there and captured me.
"They conveyed me to INEC office in the wake of capturing me. I am not a gathering operator but rather a staff of INEC. My telephone was taken from me by policemen at the entryway who introduced into the premises."
