GBBO Judge Prue Leith Forced To PULL OUT Of The Show As Paul Hollywood's Co-Star's Sickness Revealed Amid Shock Double Elimination Twist

 The Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith missed out on some significant showstopper bakes as she was forced to abandon filming for a chunk of the episode......

Tuesday’s programme saw a brutal double eviction, with Terry Harthill and Karen Wright given the boot.

Yet neither had chance to show off their skills to the cook in the epic final challenge, which saw them tasked with creating a suspended chandelier of spiced biscuits, as she pulled out due to sickness.

Paul, who looked smart in a dark blue shirt, was tasked with tucking into the treats all on his own, which presumably wasn’t too much hardship.

He was joined by regular hosts Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig, the latter of whom explained the baker’s absence with a dash of humour.

She told the BBC One contestants Prue is under the weather and said: "I’m going to blame those spices you know,” to which Noel looked at Paul and mused: “You seem fine though.”

The site judge quipped: “Yeah she’s a bit under the weather today, so I will be flying solo,” before explaining the task.

Sandi later broke the news to the bakers, with the warning her absence wouldn’t make things any easier, as Noel joked: “Now it’s just bad cop, bad cop.”

Fans took to Twitter to take note of the huge show change, with one writing: “I CAN'T BELIEVE PRUE IS MISSING SUSPENDED BISCUITS.”

Others relished in some cake-related  banter as one out: “Don’t lie Paul, Prue isn’t under the weather she’s hanging after finishing off Karen’s ginger cake,” and a third continued: “Poor Prue has a soggy bottom.”

Meanwhile, fans were gripped to the action in the first double eviction of the series with Terry and Karen being given the boot.

After he was told he would be heading home, Terry burst into tears and opened up about his deceased wife.
