Buhari Directs Federal Agencies to Support Flood Disaster Victims


President Muhammadu Buhari has communicated solidarity with Nigerians over the states influenced by surges and coordinated all Federal Government offices "to utilize their position and assets to help the casualties influenced by the cataclysmic event''. 


Malam Garba Shehu, the president's Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, in an announcement in 

Abuja on Tuesday, said the new mandate was passed on through the Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr. Mustapha Maihaja. 

The presidential assistant cited Buhari as notice every one of the organizations of the Federal government against resisting the presidential mandate. 

As per him, the President has asked for that any such office that neglected to help ought to be accounted for to him. 

The President communicated his sensitivities to all families who lost property and their friends and family emerging from the surges. 

While taking note of that the loss of lives can't be redressed, Buhari guaranteed Nigerians that his organization would limit the affliction and hopelessness of nationals influenced by the calamity.
