President Muhammadu Buhari has endorsed the dualization of the street connecting Ikot Ekpene in Akwa Ibom State and Aba in Abia State.
Sen. Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), revealed this in a meeting with State House journalists on Monday at the Presidential Villa.
Manang and Sen. Godswill Akpabio (APC Akwa Ibom North-West) drove an appointment from the All Progressives Congress(APC), Akwa Ibom on an obligingness visit to Buhari.
"Two things the president has improved the situation us today; endorsing that the street between Ikot Ekpene in Akwa Ibom State and Aba in Abia State be dualized.
"The second is that the street from Oron to Calabar, that is the fifth area of the East-West street will be granted and finished; and that is under the Forum on China African Cooperation Funding window.
"It keeps running into many billions, and goes through the ocean and it is to connect the whole South-South.
"With these two and all others which have been granted, the whole individuals of Akwa Ibom State and South-South have proclaimed that they will bolster the administration of president Buhari and APC.
"We have most likely that the aggregate of South-South and South-East will fall into APC driven by Akwa Ibom,'' he said.
As indicated by him, the designation contains legislators of notoriety in Akwa Ibom State who have come to demonstrate solidarity with Buhari.
He said that the number of individuals that had left PDP and traversed to APC extending from previous administrators, governors, appointee governors, individuals from the House of Assembly was demonstrative that the general population of the state had set up portable shelter with Buhari.
