The title of the album has followers believing the subject matter will deal with her very public spats, most notably versus Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
Taylor had teased her new project with three cryptic Instagram caption-less video clips of a snake.
The viper is irrevocably associated with the singer since her feud with the Wests, in the wake of which her social media accounts were flooded with emoji versions.
Their most recent clash came when Kanye rapped about considering having sex with her in his song Famous, before claiming her had her blessing for the lyric.
The offending song contained the lyric: ‘I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b*tch famous.'
Afterwards Swift’s team released a statement claiming: 'Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single, "Famous" on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message.'
However, Kim went on to release a video recording of the phone conversation on Snapchat where Taylor was heard describing the name check in the song as 'a compliment.'
After being branded a 'snake' all over social media, Swift released a second statement, claiming it was actually the use of the word 'b*tch' she was objecting to.
After she deleted all of her Instagram posts last week, fans believe Taylor is attempting to reclaim assimilate the snake association and make it her own in an upcoming track.
The new song, she confirmed, will be released on Thursday. The album Reputation will be released on November 10.
