Huỳnh Thị Thùy Dung, the 2nd runner-up at the Miss Vietnam 2016 pageant, will represent Vietnam at the 2017 Miss International beauty pageant.
Dung, 21, will travel to Tokyo, Japan to compete in the Miss International 2017 finals in November. She is studying in Foreign Trade University of Ho Chi Minh City. She works as a host for shows.
She has been discreetly preparating process since February 2017. She has been studying English and Japanese, and has been taking lessons in catwalk.
“As a mature candidate from Miss Vietnam, I think I have the responsibility to represent the beauty and wisdom of Vietnam at the major and prestigious beauty contests in the world. It is also a privilege for me to try my best to improve myself,” she said in her native language.
