The 57-year-old broadcaster and journalist confessed in her latest magazine column that the recent warm weather had made her drink more, especially when she’s outdoors with husband Mark Cassidy.

Carol McGiffin said she won’t drink any more than she does now – but also won’t drink any less

“[I’ve been drinking] nearly as much as everyone thinks, and nearly every day,” she wrote in Best.

“Every time I get drunk, I say I’m never drinking again, but I always do.

“So I’ll just say I’m not going to drink any more.

“But I’m not going to drink any less, either.”

She added: “Don’t get me wrong, I can still down two bottles a night – and that’s after dinner, especially on a hot night when my partner, Mark, and I are sitting outside!”

Carol often shares photos to social media showing her enjoying a drink and good food, most recently on June 10 when she brandished a cold beer in Athens.
