Game of Thrones Spoilers: Who is Actually the Three Eyed Raven?

Of the two breeds of the black birds who went head-to-head in order to see which one was the smartest, one was nicknamed “Bran, the Raven”, and it appeared to be a nod to a hugely popular theory that say Bran Stark (played by Isaac Hempstead-Wright) is actually the Three-Eyed Raven.

Although Winterwatch was definitely tongue-in-cheek about the whole thing, the fan theory has enormous weight in the Game of Thrones universe.
The HBO hit is yet to confirm if Bran is the Three-Eyed Raven, only teasing that he could be.

In season seven, episode three, Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) quizzes her brother on whether he is the mystery man.
Mysterious as ever, Bran replies with: “It’s difficult to explain.”

However, back in season three, Jojen Reed (Thomas Brodie-Sangster) directly told Bran that he was the Three-Eyed Raven, but it was only a vision.

Will Bran turn out to be the Three-Eyed Raven? Or will the theory prove to be false?
