For Sanjay Leela Bhansali fans it is good news that his controversial film "Padmaavat" has passed the crucial box office test this Monday grossing Rs 129 Cr in six days. The film saw a dip in business, but it’s not as bad as it was with some of the big films last year. Most of the films see a slump of more than 60% on first working day after the weekend while Padmaavat fared slightly better. After Sunday’s massive Rs 31 crore, the Deepika Padukone-starrer earned Rs 15 crore on Monday.
But that doesn’t mean Padmaavat can safely be called a hit, not yet. The film has been made at a whopping budget of Rs 180 crore and thus it needs to sustain a similar momentum at the ticket window for another five days at least.Meanwhile the film is doing excellent business in the overseas markets. As per Adarsh, Padmaavat is doing good business in Singapore.
