House of Reps Probe on Suspended SEC DG, Gwarzo Starts Today

The House of Representatives probe into the circumstances that led to the suspension of the Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Mounir Gwarzo, has commenced today in Abuja.
The Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, had suspended Gwarzo.

The probe, which is carried out by the Committee on Capital Market and Institutions, headed by Tajudeen Yusuf, is expected to unravel the allegations and counter-allegations by the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, and Gwarzo.

As at 11.am, all members of the panel were available alongside the representative and the Speaker Yakubu Dogara.

It was observed that the suspended SEC DG was also seated, and Adeosun just arrived the venue at the time of filing this report.
