Meek Mill Prison Saga: Court Clerk Fired

In the latest development of the Meek Mill prison saga, a Philadelphia court clerk reportedly slipped the rapper a note during his latest probation violation hearing asking Meek for financial assistance to help pay for her son's college tuition. TMZ reports that the clerk has now been fired.
In the alleged note obtained by TMZ, Wanda Chavarria pleads, "This will probably be my son's last semester at VCU if the tuition isn't paid for the year and unfortunately with my bad credit, I am unable to secure a loan or co-sign a loan for my son. Anything that you can do is very much appreciated."

Chavarria worked for the Philadelphia court system for almost three decades. The clerk said Judge Brinkley -- who sentenced the rapper to two to four years in prison -- was not aware of the exchange. A spokesman for the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania confirmed that Chavarria had been fired on Tuesday (Jan. 30).

While Meek may not have donated money to Chavarria, he did donate $10,000 to Colin Kaepernick's #10For10 challenge, joining Joey Bada$$, Nick Cannon and more.
