British Prime Minister Theresa May is arriving in China on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 for a 3 day visit, bringing the largest-ever UK delegation. Finance and education will be the core of her visit, according to British media reports.
Delegates on the trip will be from fields including finance, commerce, medicine, education, communications and transportation.
Listed companies like BP, HSBC, Inmarsat, Sirius Minerals, Astra Zeneca, Standard Chartered and London Stock Exchange Group are part of the delegation.
For the automotive sector, Tevva Motors, Aston Martin, HORIBA MIRA, Jaguar Land Rover, McLaren and Norton Motorcycles are also part of the trip.
Educational institutes like BESA, the University of Manchester, the Universities UK of CVCP and chain kindergarten Busy Bees will also be represented in China.
Private sector firms such as the Canary Wharf Group, Blippar, Far-UK, Kiddylicious, Medopad, NPL and Stream Bio will send representatives.
The Telegraph is reporting Theresa May's visit is meant to upgrade UK-Sino business cooperation, and may involve the signing of a number of new agreements in the future.
