Supreme Court Sacks Hembe From House Of Reps

The Supreme Court on Friday sacked Rep. Herman Hembe (Benue/APC), and ordered him to refund salaries allowances he collected while in the House of Representatives, within 90 days.
The court, in its ruling, ordered Hon. Hembe to return all salaries and benefits collected while in office within 90 days.

The court declared one Dorothy Mato as winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in the constituency and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue her a certificate of return.
“I hereby declare that the plaintiff/appellant was the winner of the primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC), held from Dec. 7 to Dec. 10, 2014.
“I declare that the plaintiff/appellant was the winner of the general election of March 28, 2015 with respect to Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency of Benue, as candidate of the APC,” Augie ruled.
