Is this the most amazing free-kick you've ever seen?
Brazilian
superstar Neymar took set pieces to a whole new level - roughly the
fifth floor, in fact - when he made an appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel
Live TV show in the United States.
The
Barcelona forward was set the task of beating Kimmel's sidekick
Guillermo from a dead ball position. Not too tough for one of the
world's best footballers? True, but there was a twist.
Neymar had to shoot from the rooftop of
one Hollywood Boulevard building, across the famous Tinseltown street
and into a goal on top of the Dolby Theatre, fully 40 yards away and
next to the famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
Attempt
number one came close, as Neymar's right-footed effort bounced off the
wall of the opposite building and bounced around among the parked cars
below.
Attempt number two was weak, and barely reached the second floor.
And
then came attempt number three. Guillermo dived - well, fell downwards
is probably a more accurate description - but couldn't keep it out.
While
Neymar was playing up for the cameras Stateside, his Brazil team-mates
were preparing for their showdown with Argentina in Melbourne on
Thursday.
