The Appeal Court on Friday validated the election of Mr. Godwin
Obaseki of the All Progressives Congress as the governor of Edo State.
The PDP and its candidate, Ize Iyamu, had challenged Obaseki’s election, alleging manipulation of the governorship election.
The election petition tribunal recently upheld the election of
Governor Obaseki. There is the likelyhood that Mr. Iyamu might be
pursuing his case at the Supreme Court following his previous public
statements.
