Fashion Glam Friday with Iykes Francis the fashion walk instructor for male and female models
alike. According to our overview with Instructor_Iykes, we understood grooming is more like a call he took over while in school at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He has done lots of jobs in Nigeria as a Pageant Instructor, Dance instructor and Catwalk/Walk Instructor. (Here is what he has to say during the Online interview with Fow24News.com)

Fow24News: how have you been able to walk on a heels and even better than most girls?

Iykesfrancis: lolz... i actually get this a lot, but lets say hard walk or work, i started training over the years and it hasn't been any easy, but "someone has to walk it out".

Fow24News: What exactly do you do as an instructor with models?

Iykesfrancis: TMW- (Too Much Work) Its a whole lots of work to do, as an instructor, to put the
                       model through with his/her walk; in most cases with the most national pageants where
   am to start from count one, to teach a girl how to walk on heels or the better ways to
   position her legs in other to be balanced and not fall. "because not everyone wears
   heels, but have to due the fact they ought to represent their states or organizations, so
   it becomes TMW for the instructor to put her through."

Fow24News: Are you signed under an agency yet or ?

Iykesfrancis: Well i so much wanted working under an agency, but looking at what most agencies       i've seen over time brings to the table, its not worth my demands, so i decided
                            to work as "Free-Lance"


Fow24News: Interesting!! So are you trying to say your job isn't paying you good?

Iykesfrancis: mmmmmm, considering my experiences overtime, i would say not really for now.

Fow24News: Am sure everyone out their thinks its paying big actually, but hearing from you we
    must be disappointed. So what would you say is the cause for low incomes/ payment?

Iykesfrancis: Most Ceo's of different agencies and model production companies, hardly release
    money to models or their instructors, its just in rare cases, that brings us to
                        channeling the reasons behind it, if its not due to low turn outs in the events, its due to
   sponsors haven't released the budget cash yet and so on.....

Fow24News: So would you tell us where you drive your stylish and unique stage inspirationsfrom,
because we have seen a whole lot on you over the years, from the movie production
with Mercy Johnson, Cha Cha Ekeh, Queen Nwokoye, Jibola Dapo etc. "Bloody
Carnival" by Uche Nancy. Down to the most Nigerian Pageants you have worked
                         in.

Iykesfrancis: Hahahahahahahahaahaha, you guys in the media know how to dig peoples gist for
Africa. Well funny enough i never done a rehearsal personally before taking to a job i
have to do, lets just say God has been my director and also am inspired by the
atmosphere of the environment am working on."The Theme of the Event Too"

Fow24News: What has been your challenges and motivations so far??

Iykesfrancis: Really its not been easy doing the job of a catwalk instructor here in Nigeria. A whole
   lots of challenges to uphold in it, is either am being called names "gay" or the
   harassment and embarrassments i get. But i still thank God for being on my side so
   far so good. Am motivated by my inner strength "ike" lolz maybe that's what my
   surname does for me " Am Ikeh Francis" and also looking back at my grandma; she
   was one woman i have always admired her strength and creativity.(May her soul Rest
in Peace).

Fow24News:   So we understand your walking on heels to train ladies doesn't affect the way you
   walk and behave on a normal day, how true is that Iykes???

Iykesfrancis:    Hahahahahaahahah!!!! sorry i had to laugh this way, i always have my friends ask
   me Iykes, how do you do it?? today you are a girl training girls, the next minutes,
   you are all a guy. Am like well, as a thespian we are groomed to play roles given
   to us according to the script character. So my job doesn't affect my lifestyle.
