Ozumba made the declaration in Nsukka on Friday amid the conference service of the college for conferment of first degrees and recognition endorsements.
He said that 174 packed away top notch, 3725 made inferior upper, 4123 made second class lower, while 1306 ran home with third class and 76 oversaw pass.
" The college has prepared, sustained and furnished you with the fortitude to go into the world.
" Be the incredible lion and thunder dependably as you go into the world," he said.
The VC asked the new alumni to be a great representative of the college wherever they got themselves.
"I ask you to keep on maintaining the maxim of the University which is 'To Restore The Dignity of Man'.
"Continuously be great representatives of your Alma mater wherever you get yourself.
"UNN will proceed to keep and keep up dreams of establishing fathers of the college which is to look for, instruct and save, " he said.
In a comment, the Chancellor of the University, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, said that UNN had remained a superlative reproducer of the reliable workforce to benefit the HR needs of the worldwide economy.
"Our alumni are quality guaranteed to serve mankind and additionally reestablish the nobility of man," he said.
NAN reports that Amarachi Mbah, from Department of Pharmacy, was named the best graduating understudy of the 2017/2018 scholarly session.
Mbah, in a meeting with NAN, said she would always stay appreciative to God who made her the best among equivalents.
"Today is one of my most joyful days throughout everyday life," she said.
