Clergyman of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma said this after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday saying reports acknowledged to him as saying that the President won't sign the financial backing were false as he was even yet to get the financial plan.
"The President is yet to get the financial plan. It is, accordingly, difficult to create an impression about the spending that has not been gotten. When we get it, we will work rapidly on it. When it is submitted, I am certain the National Assembly themselves will advise Nigerians," Udoma said.
The National Assembly on May 16, six months after it was introduced, passed a sum of N9.120 trillion, an expansion of N508 billion from the N8.612 trillion initially displayed to the Assembly by President Buhari. The Chairman Senate Committee on Appropriation, Senator Danjuma Goje clarified that after meeting with the Executive, the oil benchmark cost was expanded from 45 to 51 dollars.
