"I am sure that the Russian totalitarian machine did not pardon him his genuineness and principled position. He was a genuine companion of Ukraine who enlightened the world reality regarding Russian hostility."
Mr Groysman included: "The executioners ought to be rebuffed."
Russia's remote service said in an announcement: "We request that the Ukrainian specialists bend over backward to immediately examine."
It included: "Ridiculous wrongdoings and aggregate exemption had turned out to be normal for the Kiev administration", while offering sympathies to Babchenko's family and companions.
