Sylvester Stallone’s ex-wife shared the news by posing cradling her blossoming baby bump while wearing a white dress, alongside the caption: "Family getting larger."

She shared another snap wearing a fitted t-shirt dress while placing one hand on her growing bump, writing: "happy time," alongside a heart emoji.

It’s the fifth child for the actress, who is best known for starring in 80’s films such as Rocky IV, Beverly Hills Cop II and Cobra.

Brigitte already has sons, Julian, 34, Killian, 28, Douglas, 25, and Raoul, 23.

The baby will be her first with her husband, TV producer Mattia Dessi, who she has been married to since 2006.

Mattia is also Brigtte’s fifth husband, after she was previously married to Raoul Meyer from 1993 to 2003, Sebastian Copeland from 1990 to 1992, Sylvester Stallone from 1985 to 1987 and Kasper Winding from 1983 to 1984.

The blonde beauty was also previously in a relationship with rapper Flavor Flav from 2003 to 2005 and had a one year romance with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The Danish-Italian actress tied the knot with husband Mattia in 2006 in a ceremony in Malta after having an official ceremony in February 2005.

At the time, her Italian husband said: "Yes, it's true we're married. It was all very sudden but we are both very happy."
