Ndume: I Regret Backing Bukola Saraki

Previous Leader of the Senate, Senator Ali Ndume (APC-Borno South), has said he laments supporting the development of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki as the President of the Senate.

Ndume, who blamed Saraki for having lessened the Senate to agonizing level of trustworthiness, talked on a Channels Television program, Hard Copy, on Friday night.

Approached on the off chance that he lamented sponsorship Saraki for the Senate administration, he stated: "Yes, I do.

"Take a gander at the Senate now, we have been lessened to unendurable level of trustworthiness, in view of few individuals, few man, that isn't right.

"I would prefer not to be individualistic about it.

"We put the authority there for Saraki.

"We have Senator's President now, rather than Senate President.

"I talk reality a great deal, regardless of whether only i'm, and I remain by it.

"We began with the issue of (Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim) Magu.

"I was with you on national TV and that is history now.

"At that point we turned out and the second issue was that of the auto importation and the issue of Dino Melaye's endorsement and after that I was shockingly suspended for 180 days and it was not the advisory group that suggested that.

"My associates did not think about the report that was utilized to suspend me wrongfully and illegally for 180 days.

"That is the reason I went discreetly to court and you see the reaction of my kin at that point.

"It isn't reasonable for one among equivalent to take himself up and utilize, exploit the hammer to control rather than to lead, rather than to manage, that is the thing that the constitution says.

"The Senate president is to manage, he doesn't have a vote, he has no voice.

"When you acknowledge being the Senate President, you have lost your entitlement to some degree as a congressperson until the point when the Senate ties, that is the point at which you come in to break the ties.

"This isn't the situation as Senate president will state: 'I coordinate so and my individuals… .'

"That is to say, it's extremely sad.

"I for one didn't expect this.

"That is the way we missed the point in light of the fact that once an individual supposes he claims the Senate and he dispenses the bearing and dishes out what he considers, you'll generally fail to understand the situation… .

"One hundred and eight heads are superior to one.

"Be that as it may, for the present, Senate at certain point resembles Dino and Saraki.

"It is extremely grievous."
