The two students were said to have connected each other in 'charms (juju) challenge' following which Mathew was said to have gone home to convey a hatchet and jugs to assault Timilehin.
Amid the challenge, sources said Timilehin purportedly overwhelmed Mathew. He gathered the hatchet from Matthew and struck him in the chest.
He was hurried to the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, where he passed on.
