More Troubles For FG As ASUP Gets Set To Begin Nationwide Strike On December 12

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has pronounced that it would start an uncertain strike from December 12, PREMIUM TIMES reports. 


The polytechnic speakers will join their college associates who have been on strike for multi-month. 

In a telephone meeting with PREMIUM TIMES Wednesday morning, the National President of ASUP, Usman Dutse, said the government had neglected to meet the requests of the polytechnic instructors. 

Preceding this looming strike, the association had on October 2 issued a 21-day final proposal to the legislature before it stretched out it to November. Yet, and still, after all that, it didn't initiate the strike.
