Ajayi, who lives in Abiola Estate, Jakande Lagos is accused of three checks of connivance, misrepresentation and burglary.
The investigator, Sgt. Hafsat Ajibode told the court that the blamed submitted the offense on October 31, at 11am at No. 50d Ogombo Road, Sangotedo Lagos.
She said that the charged, a cultivator with the purpose to dupe, got N4.5million from his client, Mr. Olufemi Olusoga, with a guarantee to offer otherworldly supplications for the "reclamation of his lost magnificence".
Ajibode said that the blamed took Olusoga, an undertaking supervisor, to one Ifatunde (surname obscure) who requested for 4.5 million to set him up for exceptional supplications.
She said that in the wake of gathering the cash, the denounced and his assistant stole away and quit picking the complainant's calls.
Ajibode said that the blamed was later caught in Osogbo, Osun.
The offense, she stated, repudiated the arrangements of Sections 287, 314 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that whenever indicted, he is subject to three years detainment.
The blamed, anyway argued not liable to the offense.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Tajudeen Elias, conceded the blamed to safeguard in the aggregate for N500,000 with two sureties in like entirety.
Elias requested that one of the sureties must be a connection of the blamed and the other a network pioneer.
He deferred further hearing for the situation until December 20.
