CUPP Lied, We Didn't Endorse Atiku - SDP, GDPN, Kowa

No less than three political gatherings that were said to be individuals from the free Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, have separated themselves from the announced support of Atiku Abubakar, the applicant of the Peoples Democratic Party. 


The gatherings are Kowa, GDPN and Social Democratic Party (SDP). 

"Kowa Party represents straightforwardness and responsibility and we consider the CUPP procedure to a great extent imperfect and disastrously executed. We didn't have anything to do with it and don't know", the gathering said. 

SDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr Mohammed Alfa who additionally said the gathering was not part of the underwriting said the gathering as of now has a competitor, Mr Donald Duke whose name had been submitted to INEC for the 2019 decision. 

Alfa said that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the gathering would meet one week from now to take a situation on the issue. 

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reviews that the free Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), on Wednesday reported that it had supported Atiku, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) contender for the 2019 presidential decision. 

Mr Ikenga Ugochinyere, representative of the gathering who reported the underwriting, said Atiku is the alliance's agreement applicant. 

The SDP attention secretary said it was not part of the support. 

"We need to charge the overall population, SDP reliable, particularly the entirety of our possibility to continue with their battles adequately, independent of the improvement. 

"We guarantee you that the SDP National Working Committee (NWC) will meet and issue suitable explanation on the issue one week from now. 

The SDP is one of the 39 resistance parties that shaped CUPP in July 2018 with the point of creating a presidential applicant that can crush the decision party All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 2019 race with the point of framing an administration of national solidarity.
