ASUU-FG Meeting Ends In Deadlock, Adjourned To Later Date

Another gathering between the central government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) finished on Monday night without a quick goal of the question.
 
The gathering which held at the Federal Ministry of Labor was to locate an enduring answer for the progressing strike by the college instructors. 

Something like four different gatherings hosts been held between the two gatherings previously Monday's since the strike initiated on November 4. 

While tending to columnists, the pastor of work and business, Chris Ngige, said the gathering has been deferred to December 17. 

Mr. Ngige said the government is finding a way to address ASUU's requests. Mr. Ngige had before spoke to the striking instructors to guarantee that Monday's exchange yields results that will prompt completion the strike. 

"The strike is five weeks old today and it isn't to anyone's greatest advantage. We will guarantee the needful is done," he said. 

In the meantime, the ASUU executive, Biodun Ogunyemi, said the association will anticipate the following deferment date to perceive how far the central government will convey on its guarantees previously it will take a choice on whether to suspend the mechanical activity. 

The association set out on the strike on November 4 over the poor financing of Nigerian colleges and non-execution of past assertions by the legislature.
