Metro has demonstrated that the agents of the Imo State Police Command have
captured a minister in the Assemblies of God Church in Owerri, Chukwuma Okezuo,
for supposedly giving predictions against the state Governor, Rochas Okorocha,
amid a community gathering.
The state Police
Public Relations Officer, Mr. Andrew Enwerem, who marched the priest before
newsmen on Tuesday, blamed him for forecasting amid last Sunday's chapel
gathering in the Urratta zone of Owerri.
The minister was
claimed to have said in his prescience that the representative was enlisting
young men in the state with the sole point of hijacking youngsters in the
vicinity of zero and 10 years for custom purposes.
The police
representative said the minister forecasted that Governor Okorocha was
supposedly captivating in the custom activities towards the 2019 governorship
decision in the state.
He included that the
"false prescience" was equipped for causing hostility and frenzy in
the state.
"I march before
you one acclaimed minister, Chukwuma Okezuo, of Assemblies of God Church. He
was captured amid a faith gathering last Sunday at Owaelu Urratta over false
predictions against the individual of the Governor of Imo State, Rochas
Okorocha.
"The suspect,
while on the platform, made false predictions against the senator that he was
selecting young men to abduct kids in the vicinity of zero and 10 years for
custom purposes.
He dishonestly forecasted that the representative was taking
part in the custom purposes with the sole point of winning the 2019
governorship race and in this manner requested that the assembly ask.
"This false
prescience, by this acclaimed minister, is extremely malevolent and fit for
causing enmity, frenzy, uneasiness and deteriorating the state.
The Imo State
Police Command, under the administration of Commissioner of Police, Mr Dasuki
Galandanchi, won't watch the general population risk the tranquility of the
state.
"Religious
pioneers ought to be aware of the things they say. We will charge the suspect
to court for lawful activity," he said.
In a meeting with
Southern City News, the 40-year-old minister, who hails from the Mbaitoli Local
Government Area of the state, said what the police blamed him for was
false.
He said that he just
requested that the gathering supplicate against awkward demise and profound
controls without saying the name of anyone including that of the senator.
