Three vignettes were staged across The Beekman’s interconnected patios. On each, a handful of models posed prettily in coordinated colors and prints, while a circus performer stood by doing tricks (a ballet dancer on one, a balancing crystal ball act on another). The first set of seven stuck with Cinq à Sept's reputation for easy romance: a tea rose marabou shrug, a pale pink georgette dress with violet blooms. Crossing the corridor to the second patio, Siskin gestured toward the next series of girls, whose clothes nodded to menswear. “We always do a touch of masculine, but there’s a much more feminine side to it,” she says. Think a navy pin-striped suit coat with darted frills around the bust, or the same fabric done as a corset top and wrapped around a toile-print dress slit up to the thigh. The final vignette was all white and black, largely Chantilly lace: a sheer white slip with tiers of microdot and floral lace at the hem topped with a ruched black silk trench. Every girl wore white cowboy boots, and judging by the giddy crowd of influencers on hand, the clothes already have their fan base waiting.
