It is a slow process, but Carmelo Anthony is one step closer to winning his
estranged wife, La La, back.From heartbreak to a possible reconciliation that is what basketball star Carmelo is hoping.
If Tiny Harris and husband T.I. did it, Carmelo feels confident he can win his stunning wife back with the right moves and gestures. And the father of one is doing just that.
The power couple had been together for more than a decade when in mid-2017, the former radio personality filed for divorce in New York.
The Power actress decided to end the marriage after reports surfaced and exposed Carmelo’s affair with a younger woman.
However, La La had a change of heart over the summer and started opening herself again to her estranged husband.
The NBA superstar, who was recently transferred from the Big Apple to Oklahoma, knows the way to his wife’s heart. He has been showering her with flowers and lavish gifts.
A source close to the OKC player said: “Carmelo and La La are in a much better place in their relationship since he is been playing in OKC. She does have some reservations about being away from him, but he has been incredibly forthcoming about what he is doing and keeping her mind at ease. He sends her flowers and little gifts from the places he travels to let her know that he is still thinking of her.”
The proud papa is also making sure he stays in touch with their son, Kiyan, who lives in New York with his mom.
The insider went on to reveal: “Carmelo Facetimes with her and their son Kiyan daily, and when he is not playing ball or resting he is watching all of Kiyan’s basketball videos that La La sends to him.”
Another family friend went on to say that the move to Oklahoma is benefitting the pair.
The source revealed: “The past year has just been full of stress and heartbreak, and Carmelo wants to get his marriage back on track more than anything. He believes that a change of scenery, a new home, a different team and a fresh set of friends could be the perfect remedy, and a way to draw a line under their issues once and for all.”
The pal added: “La La is not committing to moving with Carmelo right now though, she still hasn’t fully forgiven him—Carmelo is going to have to jump through some more hoops before La La agrees to up sticks and relocate to Oklahoma.”
